Time doesn't Wait

There are just 2 more days left in 2017.

2018 is coming fast. Eek!

The year I turn 40.

Wow! Seriously, wow!

Time is a funny thing, isn't it? When we are kids we think we have so much of it. Yet, here we are, before we know it, grown up and wondering where the time has gone.

And still, we put everything off. We procrastinate on taking care of our health. We put off taking the adventure, travelling to our dream destination and going after our life long goals.

Why? Because we believe we have lots of time. So we wait until Monday, until January 1st, until after the holidays, after vacation is over or until we retire to take action & to do the things we want to do. We wait until we find ourselves in the perfect moment, only to later realize there is no perfect moment. We wait until we feel good about ourselves or will look good in a bikini, for instance to take the dream vacation and yet we continue to procrastinate on doing the things that need to be done to get there or we press pause as soon as vacation starts only to start over as soon as we return.

I totally get it. In fact, there have been a number of times when I've taken my time for granted & wanted to press pause on heath & fitness myself. But, unfortunately, there is no pause button. Life doesn't allow it. You can't run from the fact that you need your health to live a good life. You can't run from the fact that life will never be perfect or present the perfect moment to get going. You can't run from the fact that the 'all or nothing' mentality usually gets us nothing instead of everything & that doing something is much better than either a) not starting at all or b) pressing pause & trying to start from scratch later.

Time doesn't wait. Time continues to pass regardless of whether you do something or you do nothing. Action beats wishing.

So, the best time to take action will always be now. Unfortunately, most often, later becomes never.

If you're confused, overwhelmed or unsure where to start but want to take a slow & steady step forward, I am hosting a 10 day Introduction to Wellness beginning January 2nd. Now, is your chance to take control. The bad news is time really does fly. The good news is you're the pilot. Don't let another day, month or year go by. The time will pass anyway. Let this be your time!!

Until next time,
